One Eventful Morning

Drama drama drama is what been happening since I last blogged. So remember in the last post I talked about my friend, MC, who's running away from home though to think about it's more like she's leaving home because she's legally an adult which came in very handing, but remember her? Well this post is about what went down when I helped her escape.

Anyways, let's start this story off on Thursday when she actually left home for good. Her dad dropped her off at the college she started and I had to go pick her up seeing she changed all her courses to online courses though she didn't leave then, I actually have to drop her back off at the school so her dad can drive her home acting like nothing happened. And I bet you're wondering what we did for the hours inbetween, watched cartoons though I fell asleep and she wrote a letter to her mom.

Then an hour or so, she had to go to work, so her brother drove her to work (oh btw, she can't drive hence the rides..... but I bet you figured that one out) and I met her there because she was going to quit and just wanted someone there. So we go to HR and there's no one there, so we started to go look for them or her manager all the while trying to hide from her supervisor because she was really supposed to be working. Well anyways, we didn't find HR but her manager instead and they talked about an hour because her manager was giving her advice about what's going on and instead of letting her quit, she told MC, that she'll tell the store manager that she's on leave for family problems.

All the while she was doing that I was working around the store and asking random friends of ours to drop my house after work because I wanted MC to tell her friends goodbye and plus I already made plans with my other friend, BL, to come over and chill. We got home, had some friends drop by, had a laugh, had fun, and had a good time. Even got BL's friend completely drunk. Though the only down point was the whole roommate's stalking baby mama who was apparently just chillin' outside in the parking lot for 5 hours but that's a whooooole different story I'll get to soon enough.

Well after somehow it was just me, her, and JH (roommate), at the time when she was supposed to get off work and her brother was picking her up, but there was no call at the time which was weird because her mom is super strict with her and used to call her every 5 minutes when we used to just hang out. It was 30 minutes afterwards when the calls start coming, but MC didn't pick up at once, just left it rung to voicemail.

I'm just gonna sum up all the voicemails into one neat package for you. They found her letter in the draw she left it (which I knew was going to happen because I knew as soon as they found her gone they were going to go though all her shit), want to know where she's out, she's a fool, how will people look at them now, yada yada yada yada bullshit bullshit bullshit. We just went to bed and apparently all her cousins were texting her telling if she want she can go to their places and shit. Oh and she started getting voicemails about how her mom is sick and in the hospital.

Friday morning we got up, got ready, turn the news on to see that traffic is bad towards the way we were heading, so I decided we should leave at 7:15 to get her to the airport for her 10:45 flight. So we head out the door, shut it, and then her parents ran into my apartment building from the backdoor. I was too late to open my door to make an escape but fast enough to get my friend at least in my apartment though her mom had her by her arm and backpack. I got my arm around her to keep from her mom (bullshit she's in the hospital dying) pulling her out of my apartment because when she's in my apartment she's safeish.

So her mom starts screaming at MC in tagalog (my friend is filipino) and to me in english saying how she's the mom and I'm going the friend and I have no right to keep her from her. And then she told me everytime she came to where we worked, that she saw me and saw right through me to what I'm really was, which in my head was what kind of bullshit is that because I'm not the kind of person to hide what I am, I tend to be proud of myself even if I'm not the best kind of person.... but anywho, her mom starts crying and telling her more shit in tagalog which the only thing I understood was polica (or something like that) which is easily police.

As MC's mom was trying to get her out of my apartment, I called JH because he been telling us if we need his help to just call so we did. So she texted him because one of her arms was out of range from her mom and so did I, but after 15 minutes I called him and told him to look at his texts. He was like I'll be right there. As we waited, MC somehow got lose once so she can get her whole body in and manage to get on the floor to get a better postion to not being pulled out because her mom got her hands on her arms.

JH finally shows up like 45 minutes into this and pulls me into the house so I can explain what was going on up to this point. After hearing all of it, he goes to my door and tells MC's mother, "ma'am this is my property so please take your hands off this young lady." But she didn't. "All due respect ma'am, please take your hands off this young lady or I will call the cops." It took him a couple more times, but her mom let her go and we got her into my house and locked the door.

JH talks to MC and ask what she wants to do, and she's like I just want to go to the airport and leave. And I totally fail to mention this, but we weren't able to pull her suitcase inside the house, so her dad actually took it and put in their car. But she was like it's only clothes, I don't need it, all my important things are in my backpack. But we were still afraid to leave the house because not only was her parents there, but her uncle, aunt, cousins, and siblings were all there. They brought an army to bring one small girl home. So my roommate decided to call the cops because that's the only way we can get her out safely and to get her stuff back.

So JH walks outside our apartment with the phone and calls them in front of everyone who came to get her, didn't know what he was saying seeing we were in the apartment but it made one of them run off with her suitcase in a car. Well we spent an hour waiting for the cops, MC and I stayed inside the whole time while JH kept going in and out the apartment basically showing how they can do shit to us. He even went out to smoke and started hitting on all the women asking if anyone was single and want to go out with him. Yeah he's that kind of a person.

As we wait for the police it dawns on me, how the hell did they found out a. the gate code to get in because it's a gated complex and b. my apartment number because I never gave them to them and they always dropped off MC outside the gate when she came over so they didn't have no idea where I lived and seeing this place has like over 1000 apartments with like 7 buildings with 8 apartment each sharing the parking lot I use, how in the world did they found the one building I'm in. I brought this up to JH and he told me he saw one of the maintence guys get out of the golf cart they drive around in and hop into the car which pissed me the hell off.

Anyways the cops finally show up and my roommate goes out to start talking to them. I can hear MC's mom yelling at the cops, but he was like ma'am go over there and I'll talk to you soon. After JH gets done talking to them, they come into the apartment to talk to MC. They ask what's going on and she tells them that she's trying to leave. They ask her how old she was and she was like 19. After that they left to talk to the parents.

When they came back, they explain to us what they told their parents which was that she was 19 and she was legally allowed to go where ever she wants to go and they can't stop her. If she wants to go home she can but they can't force her to. Then the cop ask if she wants to go home and she was like no, I want to go to (insert state here). Then he asked if they took anything of hers which she replied yes, my suitcase. So the cops goes back outside, talks to her mom, and comes back in, telling us it will be here in 10 minutes or they will go to jail.

We get her suitcase back minus the address card that she had outside of it. She notices it and the cop get it back to her but it also means her parent's has where she was going because we weren't giving it up to them at all. But at least the address was her boyfriend's mom's house and not his so she safeish.

Then they had to leave, the cops told them that seeing it's private property and only residents and guest were allowed and seeing they weren't either that they had to leave because they weren't allowed here. They all left and at that point it was 9 and she had a 10:45 plane to catch which if my roommate was going to go with us which was the plan wasn't going to be a no big seeing he actually works at the airport and was gonna get us in the backway so avoid her parents if they were there which was the plan from the beginning but seeing his tags were expired and his window was busted, he could just drive off in it with the cops right there so I had to drive MC to the airport with the instructions that if we spot them following us that to call airport security to get us an escort at the door because if they did, they will get arrested.

I told her if she even spots a car that she knows to call because knowing them, they could switch cars on us, but she didn't spot any and we made it to the airport with no problems. I got her check-in, her bags checked (which took forever because the person in front of us took forever), and got her to the security point all the while pointed out all the security around us and telling her we were completely safe in here. Yes, somehow airport security was a positive thing.

I got a call from her when she was in her transfer airport and one when she was leaving the plane at her final destination. Now I know she's safe from her abusive father and controlling mother, I can finally get some sleep even if it's not in my own bed seeing I didn't want to go home that night...... Don't worry I found a nice bed that came with a guy to sleep in.

Oh btw, as I was driving MC to the airport, JH was talking to one of the office people about what just happened seeing that one of the maintence people gave out our private information and she knew exactly who it was and actually saw him do it, so yeah the guy got fired right then. I don't trust the maintence people as it is but knowing that one of them actually gave my info out like that, omg!, lucky for us JH has their copy of our apartment key because he broke his one night.

So yeah, that's been going on and keeping me busy, but now it's all done, I can go on with explaining my life, but next time.

In Honest Truth,
NQT
